Based in Australia, The Marine and Coastal Community Network (MCCN) is a non-government project that builds community, industry and government support for the conservation of marine biodiversity and ecological processes, and the ecologically sustainable use of marine and coastal environments. There are currently over 10,000 organisations, groups and individuals who use the services of the Network, covering government agencies, industry and the community sector. Participants include commercial and recreational fishing interests, scuba divers, the shipping industry, the marine science community, conservation groups, tourism interests, political interests, and government agencies.
