The European Union Action Plan to Eradicate IUU Fishing: a Greenpeace Critique

On 28 May 2002, the European Commission presented a proposal for a "Community action plan for the eradication of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing" (COM(2002) 180 final). This document is Greenpeace‘s analysis of that plan and the organisation‘s suggestions for improvements, including stricter measures to control transshipments and port control.
