Report of the Joint FAO/IMO Ad Hoc Working Group on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing and Related Matters

11/10/2000

Author: FAO

The Report summarizes the discussions on how flag States and port State control of fishing vessels can assist in counteracting IUU fishing, taking into account IMO‘s experience in the port State control of merchant ships. Appendixes F and G of this Report will form the basis of the Report to the IMO Sub-Committee on Flag State Implementation, which will meet on 26 February 2001.
