The proposed regulation will apply to the products of fishing and aquaculture. The most significant environmental impacts during the life cycle of products, including fish products, in particular the impact on climate change, impact on nature and biodiversity, energy and resource consumption, generation of waste, emissions to all environmental media, pollution through physical effects and use and release of hazardous substances will be considered. The proposal indicates that the Commission shall adopt measures to establish specific Ecolabel criteria for each product group.
