The note explains the main requirements that the regulation will introduce as well as the approach to implementing it within the UK. Defra will be overseeing the implementation of this regulation during 2009 working closely with colleagues in Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland, and other Government Departments and Agencies including the Marine and Fisheries Agency, Association of Port Health Authorities and HM Revenue & Customs.
