Conference of African Ministers of Fisheries and Aquaculture

The African Union will be hosting its first-ever Conference of African Ministers of Fisheries and Aquaculture in the Gambia from 20-23 September 2010. The conference will review progress since the 2005 Abuja Fish For All Summit, discuss options for fisheries policy and governance reform in Africa, and examine the role of African fisheries and aquaculture in the African Union’s comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP).
