I have particular expertise in analysing and developing practical policy and administrative approaches to tackle IUU fishing and extensive fisheries management experience having worked at senior levels developing and implementing management arrangements for both domestic and international fisheries. I was one of two experts on the Secretariat of the High Seas Task Force and was responsible for the economics and trade and management/enforcement aspects of the HSTF work and subsequent report. I am particularly interested in seeking market based approaches to tackle IUU fishing and analyzing and addressing the governance arrangements which encourage and facilitate IUU activity
