MarViva

MarViva is a Latin-American based NGO, dedicated to the conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal resources, by protecting and supporting the management of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). MarViva has adopted an innovative approach to marine environmental protection that aims to foster collaboration on a local level between citizens, and the private and public sectors. The constant presence of MarViva boats on joint patrols with government authorities in National Parks and MPAs has resulted in a reduction in the number of illegal fishing vessels and gear in their waters.
